Get MSI Netbook

I have read up on so many different brands and secs that ive just finally decided to come to answers.

i am looking for a netbook or small laptop no more then 13″ and no smaller then 10″ .
i will be using it to surf web pages, email and watch movies .
so i am hoping for something with great speaker quality, backlit display, long lasting battery (6cell or more) .

hoping to have bluetooth, and it would be a treat to have an hdmi port.
but can live without it.

overall, I really just would like to know what the best company’s are and what are some pros and cons of each make.

also well I’m tying, I have heard a lot of good and bad about MSI computers and would like to know if they are in fact worthless .

I do realize that netbooks do not have a cd/dvd drive, and i am fine with that , as for the fact that i will have all my movies on an external hard drive. for the movies part i just want good sound quality. thanks ! : )
Is Dell any good?
for some reason i always come back to that one,
but it doesnt have the back lit display? how important is that?

I have an MSI Wind netbook. If I download anything, the computer will crash, a blue screen with computer language comes on for a split second then the computer restarts and I get “Media Test Failure, Please Check Cable” Above that is says Realtech HDI…etc

Another time it crashed similarly and I got “NTLDR is missing” Press Ctl, alt, delete to continue.

It doesn’t reboot until I force shutdown by pressing the power button and turning it back on. What can be the cause of this? Is the hard drive bad?
I experience this when I download a powerpoint on firefox or if I transfer files from a thumb drive.

I’m not sure but it technically has two hard drives..under my computer I have a C drive which is 40gb and a D which is 80gb. I don’t know why its partitioned.

This is pretty much exactly what it says(read below) When this pops up I press Ctrl + Alt and the Delete button and click end task to make it go away (thats the only way to stop it…) help?

I’m using a shuttle mac and trying to download steam, I always have problems downloading games onto macs for some reason. It says that there isn’t an application able to download Steam, which is an .MSI file type. Any kind of help would be great, thanks!

I am in high school, and am trying to decide between 3 options: a smart phone, a netbook, and a laptop. I am in all accelerated classes, but my messy notes are practically useless, and so my grade struggles, although I have A’s and B’s. I have a nice gaming desktop, but I don’t like Vista, and it’s overkill for much else. I would be allowed to use the Netbook or Notebook in class, but not the Phone. I also want to start an online business doing programming or web design. And I want to be mobile, so battery life is a must. My parents would pay half either way, and they would be about equal in cost. The Smartphone would be the Touch Pro, on Sprint, the Laptop, would be a last gen, or bottom line Macbook, and the netbook would be the Eee PC 901, or the 6 Cell Windows MSI Wind. MSi Windows 7 laptop A6000

There’s a burnrecovery software included with the laptop, but it never starts. I get a screen that says “Prepare files…please wait”, but it never starts. Any ideas?

I noticed that another smaller windows pops-up behind it. I can only look at it if I close down the burnrecovery software. It’s an autoplay window for “Bios_RVY” (W:).

When opened it has the recovery console and other files. I’m assuming these will be burned once I make a recovery CD.

Is there any other way for me to make a Recovery CD without using the burnrecovery software from MSI? I would have no other way to install Windows 7 if something were to happen.
Ricky I don’t want to just backup my files.

I want to be able to reinstall Windows 7 and I don’t think I can do that by using that.
