I have a MSI wind u100 netbook has XP SP3 on it.
Today I was working on two power point projects for school, I saved them on my HD, everything on XP was working great. Shut down the computer. Started it up today, I got the blue screen of death for a second then my computer restarted back into the BIOS. Tried to boot in Safe mode, got the blue screen. Tried Last good config, got the blue screen.. I don’t care for fixing the problem XP is having right now, however I need to get my powerpoints off the HD.
I don’t have an external DVD player.
Also the blue screen only shows up for a second so I can’t read it, after it shows the computer restarts into the BIOS

O.K. here’tiz.
I had the same problem.
First thing first.
While the computer is ON,unplug from the wall outlet.
Wait few seconds than plug it back in and boot up.
If this does not work than, and if you have windows xp than reinstall it.
If you do not have it call Microsoft ( you may have to pay for the call) and they will get into your hard drive via your connection and fix the problem.
If nothing else works than my friend I am afraid that you have a damaged hard drive. It does happen. There are companies that can retrieve info off damaged hard drives it is costly but it can be done.
Good Luck

The Windows operating system constantly refers to the registry to get information about all of the components such as hardware and software which are installed on the computer. The registry tells Windows what to do and how to access the various programs, files, and processes. However, the registry can contain bad information which sends Windows off doing useless tasks or running unneeded routines. Sometimes errors occur including the blue screen of death. Other times the system slows down. Because of the sheer number of factors that can affect the registry, there’s no one size fits all approach. You can’t just go into the registry and remove the bad information because it’s nearly impossible to decipher which information is good and which information is bad. That’s a job better suited for software. I should like to commend Registry Easy http://cleanup-comuter-run-perfectly.com to you ! You can try ! Good luck!
