    it does support AM3.go to msi (dot) eu, and search for this board.than you’ll see a AM3 CPU Ready logo.i am going to buy a AMD Phenom II X4 965 processor (AM3) i looked in the Supported CPU list, and it is supported.

    Ah ye, I saw it. Do I have to update my bios to get AM3? If so, which update do I have to get from MSI? And how?

    go to the msi site.download live update (use internet explorer for this) and search for bios.do NOT turn off your system while flashing, otherwise you motherboard is broken.

    yes, it does.he shows you gigabit ethernet connector, and 7.1 surround audio, i have a 2.1 speakerset, plugged in in the green audio input.
