Dell. Easy to fix and find hardware and software .
If money is not a factor, go Sony Vaio laptops. We have 2 and they are perfect and reliable.

I used to favor the MSI Wind 6-Cell, but it won’t be out until next month, the price went up $50, and now there is word that MSI is using cheaper parts in more recently manufactured versions. For example, they are using a different touchpad now. The new one does not support multi-touch or scrolling on the touchpad.
The new Dell netbook (previously E or Mini Inspiron) will be called the Inspiron 910. One weird thing about it is that it will not have the F-keys across the top of the keyboard. Sounds like a nice netbook, but I don’t now if I could get over the lack of F-keys.
I have an Eee 701 4G. Too small. I’d go for a 901 or 1000. While Asus was getting expensive, the prices have dropped to face the competition. The 1000H is now $550 and has specs similar to the MSI wind, but Asus hasn’t cheaped out or had supply problems like MSI. The Eee 900s have had price drops as well, and some of them even have $100 rebates.
I’m fine with a laptop having a hard drive instead of SSD, so I’d go for the Eee 1000H. I’d rather have more storage of the HDD than the durability of the SSD because I don’t drop my laptops on the floor.
