make sure on the msi mobo that sata cable is plugged into sata 1 they are #ed. make sure in your bios you set to boot from cd 1st and second sata. and you should be fine. also if you have a raid controller you need to disable it. good luck

It is possible that Windows does not have the textmode drivers (drivers that it uses during installing) for your SATA controller. For e.g if your SATA controller’s chipset is VIA, WinXP wont c the harddrives (my experience). I’m assuming you did not do the original installation, it is possible then that winxp was installed first then with these drivers slipstreamed. For slipstreaming you need to copy the installation files from your XP cd on to your hard drive first, then you need the drivers for your chipset. You can then download an application called Nlite (http://www.nliteos.com/download.html), and also maybe cover this guide to help you out with it (http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=559). Once done, you can then burn your new XP CD (hope you have a cd-writer).
