I am currently first year College/University studying Law/Commerce. So i want to be able to take notes, check emails, watch the odd video. I need a netbook/laptop which is preferably under 1.5kg, can get 4+ hours of WiFI doing simple tasks such as word so i dont need to carry the brick, and a full size or near full size keyboard so i can ‘touch-type’ (I have large hands as I’m 6ft3″
Was thinking of the MSI wind u100 which is fairly cheap, the sony vaio p was a bit to expensive for me, as is the TZ series. Would prefer to spend no more than 600US (or 1200 New Zealand dollars)
Yesterday i purchased the parts to build my new computer. I had the hardest time deciding which os to go with vista or xp. XP does not slow down the games which will be the main use of my computer. However, vista is DX10 ready. The parts to my system are GeForce 8800GTS 640MB, mushkin DDR2 800 2GB, Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe, MSI P6N SLI Platinum. The video card I purchased is DX10 ready however the os i purchased, xp is not. Should i have purchased Vista to get DX10 game ready or being that the video card is DX10 ready will that be enough to take advantage of DX10?
I just got an msi wind and can’t see the full screen. There’s about an inch and at the top or bottom that I have to scroll to see, even on the desktop. Is there a way to make the full desktop appear?
f11 doesn’t fix it. it only makes the toolbar appear if I’m in another program. It doesn’t do anything when just on the desktop.
