Ubuntu Linux installation guide please…?

I am looking for a guide on how to install Ubuntu Linux as a second operating system (you know, so when I boot the computer, it will ask me which OS to boot?)

I own an MSi Wind Notebook running Windows XP Home SP3
My processor is Intel Atom (1.60GHz) with 2.0GB (actually 1.99GB) of RAM

Another note: This computer model does NOT have a CD drive, so please give me a DETAILED article/set of instructions on how to do it with a USB stick instead of CD-ROM, and then please post the link/s in your answer.

Is the word processor in Linux SUSe software compatible with microsoft word?

I am looking for a portable laptop for school, and I do not want windows xp or vista. I really like the specs for the Linux version of the MSI wind, but I cannot find any information on the word processor in it. This will also be my only computer…so does anyone have any other suggestions for a good laptop?

Problems With New Msi Wind Netbook (linux Version).?

i just got this netbook and am not familiar with linux suse – anyways, the computer froze and was doing weird things, so the next time i booted it up, i had the option to return to factory default settings, which i did. now, it seems i’ve installed a partition that i don’t understand, and can’t get rid of, and which is occupying about 30G of space on the computer. What do i do? can i reload the whole shebang, and get that useable space back? i’ve tried to find help about partitions on the internet, but i simply don’t understand what it tells me to do….any help would be amazing! Thanks!
