this little box keeps popping up i alredy closed it like five times but after i close it , it comes back up like after a minute how do i stop it ? i was thinkin maybee it was a virus but i already ran all the malware and virus programs and it did not find anything

Well, i dont know how to do this but i need to because the screen is starting to get really wobbly. Would it be better for me to just take it to a shop, or is it easy enough for me to do by myself.

My laptop turns on, but the screen remains black?

I have a msi u100 laptop, it was working perfectly last week, left it on, never used it for a couple of days. When I turn it on, it seems fine, then it turns black. If I press the power button, and it turns off with no hassle. How can I fix this? Is there a way to reset it? I can go on this grey and blue setup menu, but that’s basically it, help?

So I found a laptop about two months ago so being the responsible citizen that I am I turned it into the police and after no one claimed it they said I could keep it.
So me being me I tried using my MSI Wind Recovery Disc to wipe everything and install a fresh copy of windows xp (Which I learned today was illegal) but I got a error and after many attempts the same thing kept occuring.
So my question to you is…. Could I go out and buy a new fresh copy of windows vista and install it on the computer I am willing to pay full price for it and I kind of want to do that I know the computer can handle vista I just want to know if this could work.
I have a box on my screen that is titled STATUS. Next it tells me I need to install package ’status.msi’

I do not know what I did. It tells me the feature I am trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. When I hit the x on that box another box pops up that that says to use a valid copy of the installation package ’status msi’ When I x ot of that block another pops up that shows a run /////// that never quite reaches the end, I hit cancel and it pops back to the original block and I just cannot get rid of these 3 blocks no matter how I try. The blocks show up when I try to shut down the computer, they show up and will not let me shut down, so to do so I need to push the button on the computer modem to shut it down. I do not understand the terminology at all, and am totally stuck, otherwise my computer is working fine. Can anyone with computer knowledge help?
