WG311v3 driver upgrade.?

I’m trying to upgrade the old 2005 driver for ourpci wireless card the newer 2007 one. I downloaded the, wg311v3_2_0_setup.exe , setup file and tried to install it after turning off the older software. Here’s what happened:

Error 1316: A network error occured while trying to access the file C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\{Directory}\NETGEAR WG311v3 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter.msi

I really didnt want to take out the card to upgrade it. If you do, according to netgears instructions you do, even though its easy, I’m not going to mess with it.

Will there be a big difference if I upgrade from a P3 to P4?

I am thinking about buying a Gigabyte GA-8IDX motherboard with P4 1.8GHZ processor (upgrading from an MSI MS-6309 w/ P3 1.0GHZ processor). The Gigabyte supports the same type of ram as the old board so I will be just switching the ram, video card etc. to the new board. Will there be that big of a difference?

Can I upgrade my laptop’s processor and memory?

Hi! I have a MSI VR300 laptop that I got as my birthday present. I want to upgrade its processor from Pentium Dual Core to Core 2 Duo and its memory from 767 MB to 1 GB. Is that possible? And how much would it cost to do that?
I heard that laptops have limits for memory. How do I know my MSI VR300’s limit?

I have this video card and its in my computer but whenever i try to play some advanced MMORPG games i dont meet the requirements, i wonder if upgrading this can help? or if i just need to buy a new video card in general. Thanks!

Board modal is MSI AMETHYST -M
i would want something that would improve performance in computer games considerably
btw – im using windows XP…

Do MSI allow its laptop processors be upgraded? I want to upgrade mine badly for the purpose of gaming.?

My laptop is currently running on an Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 @ 2.10 GHz and 1.87 GB of RAM.. With these, is my graphics card, NVIDIA Geforce 8200MG.. Tell me if these are enough for a gaming PC. If not, I’m hoping that my question will be answered, or at least, suggest me some cool PC games that suits my laptop’s specifications. Thanks!

Its a follow up question.

If I bought the 8600 GT laptop instead, ( MSI ) Could I upgrade it to a 9600 GT 512 mb? Or is that too difficult?

How to upgrade BIOS for MSI 790FX-Motherboard?

Just go this motherboard and it’s default BIOS version is 1.1. I was wondering how to upgrade or “flash” BIOS to the newer 1.3 verions?
And the MSI live update isn’t working. I’m getting errors

I have a motherboard with pci express x16 1.0 on it i want to upgrade to the msi n9800gt 512oc ?

newegg.com says it’s for 1.0 but msi says 2.0

but msi also says this :

Upgrade or build a new one?

My current specs:

AMD x2 4200+
MSI K6N sli Platinum (570 sli) AM2
2gb OCZ ddr667 RAM
BFG 7600 gt OC
250 Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 sata2

The toughest game I’m gonna run is gonna be Crysis or bioshock.

I was thinking of just upgrading my cpu to like a 6000 and my graphics card to a 8800 GTS 320, it’d be alot cheaper than a whole new pc.

Or I could try and sell this pc (could i fetch a 1000 with this one in a Ultra Aluminus Full Tower with an X2 550 PSU?) and buy a pc with:

Core 2 e6750
MSI P6N Platinum (650i sli)
8800 GTS 320
74 gb 10k raptor
and 2gb ballistix tracers

Which should I do, and if its the 2nd one, how much do u think i could sell the 4200+ plus for?

Keep in mind the 4200+ is only a year old and ill prolly upgrade it next year newayz.
