I can’t uninstall a previous version of itunes. I get a message that the
network file is unavailable. The name of the file I am missing is
‘itunes.msi’ installer file. Does anyone know how to recover this file from
my machine (I must have deleted it at some point), or retreive the set of
files I need from the internet in order to completely uninstall and
re-install the latest i-tunes version? I am running windows xp home sp 2

I already installed the updated quicktime if that was even needed. I even tried reinstalling it. PLEASE HELP!

Alright so I have an older version of iTunes, and I wanted to install the latest 7.0 version, because it no longer allows me to purchase songs from the music store. Now, you must have at least the 7.0 version to continue purchasing from the music store. Whenever I try to install/update to the new 7.0 version, I get an error code that says this:
1: The InstallScript engine on this machine is older than the version required to run this setup. If available, please install the latest version of ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further assistance.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I already tried updating my ISScript.msi using updates I found at InstallShield’s website, but I still get this error code! Also, I’ve already tried using system restore to restore my computer to an earlier date, but the error message still shows up and won’t allow me to install the latest iTunes version. Please, someone, help me!!

As the title says, i’m trying to download Sony Vegas 8.0c trial, i want to try it out because it particularly edits videos from games which is really what I need. I searched a lot for the answer, as I’m not an exact fan to asking questions. However, let’s get down to it.
I download it, everything goes fine until it says i need to download a windows component named “Microsoft .NET Frameworks 3.0″ I select install. The whole thing goes through its downloading and configuring process, but then at the end I get the message that says
“Requirements not met. Press OK to cancel installation” – i’m sure its something like that. This is my error log:

I’m no good with computers. It also said in the report they needed these files from my documents, i’m not sure why, but they’re microsoft so I let them take them, was that bad?

My old version of iTunes doesn’t want to uninstall or remove.
That is stopping me from downloading the new version of iTunes.
I’m getting messages like “The feature you are trying
to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a
folder containing the installation package
‘iTunes.msi’ in the box below.”
and
“This action is only valid for products that are
currently installed.”
Now, I’m beyond frustrated. Please, someone help me!

I have to replace my MSI 7207 socket 939 MB Part no.105551. Ver.2.0 Can someone tell me the difference between the version 1.0 motherboard and the version 2.0 ? What are the advantages of version 2.0 . Some replacements I have found have ver. 1.0 and some 2.0 Otherwise they are identical. Thanks for helping. Tom

I have been able to extract the MSI and can run it with only 1 problem. That problem being at the end of the of the install the Installshield wizard has 3 options already checked: usage statistics, Launch Google Earth, Install Google Toolbar. I want all of these OFF. I have dug around in the MSI file and found several entries but no luck on making them work. Has anyone out there been able to get this to work. I wouldn’t even mind using the native installer but the Install shield flags don’t work anymore for some reason using
Setup.exe /r /f1c:\test.iss

i just got this netbook and am not familiar with linux suse – anyways, the computer froze and was doing weird things, so the next time i booted it up, i had the option to return to factory default settings, which i did. now, it seems i’ve installed a partition that i don’t understand, and can’t get rid of, and which is occupying about 30G of space on the computer. What do i do? can i reload the whole shebang, and get that useable space back? i’ve tried to find help about partitions on the internet, but i simply don’t understand what it tells me to do….any help would be amazing!
