Get MSI Netbook

I have the msi wind with the 6-cell battery and a Verizon wireless router I know how to open the wifi buy I don’t know what to do next?? HELP

I have seen that regular sized laptops are able to reach certain “hotspots” that I am not able to reach without me getting much closer. I have an MSI Wind Netbook. It just doesn’t reach from the room where I take classes, yet every one elses regular laptops do get a signal. Another netbook, an Acer Aspire One, also doesn’t reach.

So, would this device help me extend the range of my netbooks wireless range and pick up the signal that everyone else seems to be able to get?

I have an MSI Wind netbook.

I notice that in different places, my netbook doesn’t receive signals from wireless routers while other, regular sized laptops, DO receive the signal. I’ve seen my netbook and a friend’s Acer Aspire One netbook not receive signals even though it is evident that the wireless router’s signal DOES in fact reach that place.

So, any device on newegg or other site that I can put on my netbook to extend/boost its wireless reach???

or

Any settings I can tinker with that will make the wireless capabilites stronger (eg. To be more powerful and reach signals from farther away) on the netbook?

Thanks to all in advance.
I mean that I don’t receive signals because the netbook is too far away from the router (I’m mostly concerned about this in my workplace). BUT, other laptops (full size) DO get signals where I am but my MSI Wind doesn’t.
