    HDMI is DVI with audio.

    hdmi is high def, dvi is not
    they both are digital
    When it comes to brand for video card there is not a huge diff between them, as long as its not a no name brand pos rip off, its the chipset of the vid card that is important ATI or Nvidia :)

    HDMI provides digital video and digital audio.

    DVI provides only digital video, NO audio. You would need a separate audio source.
